Faith, Hope, and Cancer was written by Carol Westfahl and details her experience and the lessons she learned while battling cancer. Carol was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in early 1996 — at the time, it seemed like a certain death sentence.
The book was published in 2006 and was the realization of a commitment Carol made when her cancer returned in 2002. She was determined for something good to come from her cancer experience. Although the book details her experiences, it is not simply an autobiographical account — it is written in a format meant to benefit a patient, or anyone who has a loved one who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Carol passed away on March 14, 2011, after living 15 years from her original diagnosis. Her son, Steve, has kept this site and her book in print as a living memorial to her desire to help others through their own cancer journeys.
